Best Free Responsive WordPress Blog Themes
1. Thoughts
Thoughts, a WPExplorer theme, is free, responsive and clearly designed with bloggers, or more generally what I’d call content creators, firmly in mind. This is evident from the fact that the theme doesn’t come with any widgetised areas, so there are no sidebars and no footer. What it does come with are 7 different post formats for sharing 7 different types of content, namely: standard, gallery, image, video, quote, audio and link. The standard post format features a large slider. If you use the image post format, your visitors will be able to open your image in a lightbox that can be expanded to fullscreen. This means that the focus is placed squarely on your content, or ‘thoughts’.

12. Tetris
Tetris by WPExplorer would work equally well as a blog or personal portfolio. The home page and archive pages utilise a Masonry layout, which readers of this site will know is my favourite kind of layout, so props to the theme author, AJ Clarke, for that. The theme also features a number of post formats.
