How to add a new product and category in VirtueMart

This tutorial shows how to add products and categories in VirtueMart.

Products and product categories in VirtueMart are controlled via the Joomla/VirtueMart administration panel. Open your Joomla administration panel and go to Components > VirtueMart

To access products in VirtueMart open the products section in VirtueMart admin panel and click List products

Click New button at the top of the page to add new product.

To access product categories click List Categories link. To add new category click New button at the top of the page.

Both products and product categories can be modified clicking at it’s title in the listing.
